  • My current focus is on how trauma impacts people, and how to move forward from those experiences. Traumatic experiences cause many reactions- intense emotions, thoughts that feel impossible to overcome, and behaviors that frustrate even those who are doing the things. I work with anyone who sees themself in this description.

I am also affirming in gender & sexual orientation, as well as welcoming to those practicing ethical non-monogamy (ENM) and kink.

  • I draw from a few different modalities and customize treatment to meet you where you’re at to finally move forward. The modalities I use include:

    • EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing)

    • Parts work

    • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

    • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

    • Somatic work (guided by Polyvagal Theory)

    • Narrative therapy

  • I started my career working with people in 2013 as a intern for the Wayne County 24-hour CPS unit. Since then, I’ve worked with women and girls who have been abused in a shelter setting, adults with traumatic brain injuries in a residential setting, adolescents in a community setting to improve their outcomes through a diversion project, pre-school aged kids on the Autism Spectrum in a school setting using applied behavior analysis (ABA), people in crisis through a national helpline and managing a mobile crisis unit, people diagnosed with severe mental health issues on an assertive community treatment team, and since 2023, as a private practice therapist.

  • I’m a therapist, artist, voracious reader, wife, dog mom, and fitness enthusiast. I love what I do, and I am always trying to find ways to learn more about the different things I enjoy and expand my interests. I would love if you recommended me your favorite book!

Trauma compromises our ability to engage with others by replacing our patterns of connection with patterns of protection
