FAQ

  • What brings people to therapy?

Therapy is for anyone who wants a different perspective. Whether that’s feeling like you’re in a rut, even if things aren’t technically going wrong, up to being in a tough spot where you’re struggling to function. Clinicians are trained to meet you where you’re at, and that doesn’t always mean at your worst!

  • What do I say when I reach out?

When you reach out, include your name, type of insurance, preferred contact information, and general issue you’d like to discuss. This doesn’t have to be detailed by any means- we’re really just trying to make sure we’re the right fit for what you ‘re looking for.

  • Are there any hidden costs?

Need to Talk Therapy, LLC is focused on transparency. There are no hidden costs- our fees are public on our site. We will complete a verification of benefits from your insurance to get an estimated cost for you prior to services to check for copays or deductibles.

  • What does the appointment look like?

The first appointment is focused on getting to know you, gathering history that may be relevant to what you’d like to focus on, and setting goals for treatment. The clinicians will guide you through this process, and it’s totally up to you what you share. Subsequent sessions will be structured depending on the goals you set and the style of the clinician.

  • What if I'm not ready to talk about something?

That’s okay! Many people take awhile to open up about the harder things they face or have faced. It is up to each client to determine the pace of sharing. In therapy, the relationship is everything, and trust is earned.

  • What if I can't do therapy anymore?

Every client is a person before they are a client! Things come up in life, and not everyone is for everyone. We understand, and it’s okay (really!). Just please let your therapist know so there isn’t any confusion or no-show fees.
